Women and girls often face discrimination, shame, and lack of access to proper menstrual hygiene products. This not only impacts their physical health but also hinders their education and overall well-being.
WomenAid Liberia recognizes the importance of addressing these challenges and works tirelessly to break the stigma associated with menstruation. Through education, advocacy, and community outreach programs, the organization promotes open discussions about menstrual health and advocates for the rights of women and girls to manage their periods with dignity.
Empowering Women and Girls: One of the key initiatives undertaken by WomenAid Liberia is the distribution of menstrual hygiene kits to women and girls in underserved communities. These kits contain essential items such as sanitary pads, soap, and clean underwear, enabling women and girls to manage their periods hygienically and with dignity. By providing access to these basic necessities, WomenAid Liberia empowers women and girls to stay in school, work, and participate fully in their communities.
